You have pages and pages of ideas. Now what do you do with them. In order to do anything with them you have to be willing to risk a certain level of uncertainty and failure in order to pursue them.

For example if you have a list of 100 ideas how do you know which one will be the real deal. You won’t know without some work. So what do you do? Here is one way to get started.

First an easy way to get started is by making this in to a game. Create cross functional teams with an odd number of members say between 3-5, the number of teams will depend on the size of your organization and how many individuals want to participate. Allocate them 5 hours over two weeks to put together a quick assessment of the idea they are given. This will then provide you with enough information to choose a couple of ideas to move forward with or determine that you need additional information before you can make a realistic assessment.

If you decide to move forward with a couple of ideas remember to celebrate everyone’s contribution for helping to expand the opportunity for innovation.
