When was the last time you looked at your vision and mission statements? If you want to know where you are going and what you are trying to accomplish, the clearer you are about your vision and mission the easier it will be to stay on track or no if you have gotten off track.
If it’s been awhile since you revisited your vision and mission take some time to review them in the context of what you are actually doing today. If you find that they are out of alignment with what you are doing take time to bring them back in to alignment by changing the one that makes sense. If you know your vision and mission are still relevant then you need to change what you are doing. If what you are doing seems more relevant, change your vision and mission.
By maintaining alignment with what you do and what you say you do it’s easier for your employers to help you do it and for your clients to believe that you do it.
