A leader that know that the best way to move is by having a clear vision and mission and a culture that encourages people to do their job and take appropriate risks without fear, it’s leading from the heart.
This is a leader that has created a safe place for people to do their best, both in what they do and how they do it. Leading from the heart encourages corporate growth and individual growth.
Look forward to where you are going and then take a look back at what is following you. Are they
- Walking with dumped shoulders and heads down
- Running over everyone trying to knock everyone else down
- Are they running with heads up looking where they are going and at each other while at the same time intent on keeping up with you?
You likely have some of each. You want to encourage group so that they continue on the path with you. Groups 1 and 2 you want to see, what can likely be done to bring them together in to group 3. If they don’t want to join group 3 it might be time to encourage them to join a new team.
