As a leader it’s your responsibility to set the example. To do what you say, to live what you expect. Remember your employees watch what you do not what you say to do. Do you talk about family values and then work 70 – 80 hours a week? Does your company espouse the importance of vacations and yet none of your leadership team ever takes a vacation? Do you preach the value of education and training, except the training budget is always being cut?
Make a big impact on your employees don’t tell them what to do. Show them what you do and encourage them to follow you.
