Do you have trouble delegating? When you start a task ask yourself these questions if you answer NO to even on of the first 6 or yes to one the last two, look at it and say good bye to it. Let someone else do it so that you are doing only those things that only you can do and that move your company forward.
1. Is this something that only I can do based on my position?
2. Does doing this make the best use of my strengths?
3. Is this making the best use of my time?
4. Would I pay someone my rate to do this?
5. Am I the only one that knows how to do it?
6. Is there someone that can do it at least 80% as good (or even better) as I can?
7. Am I doing this out of habit, because I’ve always done it?
8. Is doing this preventing me from doing something more important that will move us forward?
