We’re half way through 2013? Have you reviewed your strategy and updated your plan? Do you know where you are and what you need to do to get to where you want to be?
2013 has had a topsy turvey beginning. What’s happened that’s taken your business by surprise? Maybe it’s a good thing maybe it’s not, but it’s important to pay attention to what’s happened and how you’ve reacted. Things always happen and the main determiner of their worth is how you react to them. This applies to businesses the same way it applies to individuals.
I know when I look back on things that happened that I wanted to define at that time as bad, I can now see, with the benefit of hindsight that they forced me to do things and make decisions I would not have made. Decisions that moved me forward in ways that I could not have predicted. Why am I bringing this up now? If this has happened to you or your organization, now is the time to take a look at where you are and where you want to go. Once you have done that, take a look at your plan and see what adjustments you need to make.
Do you need to adjust back to your original goal or does your goal need some adjusting? Only you know which one is right. Then once the adjustments are made, remember to communicate them to those who will help you reach your goal.
