184You have too much on your plate and it’s all urgent, important and critical, or at least that’s the way it seems.  For all of us there are too many things to do and too little time in which to do them.  So how do I choose which things I should do?  There is a saying, ‘fill your day with the big rocks and the little rocks, sand and water will fill up the rest of the time’.  That’s great, so what are the big rocks?  How do you know what are the important things that you want to do?

Clarity is the key to determining what your big rocks are.  When you are clear with regards to your vision and your goals you can then look at what you need to do in relationship to their ability to move you towards your goals.  It is much easier to say “No” to something when you are clear it’s not focused on reaching your goals.

Spend your time focused only on those tasks that will move you towards your goals and only those that are the best use of your time.  Delegate or say no to everything else.  The clearer you are the easier this will become and the faster you will accomplish your goals.
