Have you finished your plans for the new year? Are you going to increase your pipeline? Grow your customer base? Write a book, blog more? Outsource the tasks you’re tired of doing? You name it what are you going to do?
Can I ask you to do one thing though before you rush off into the New Year? Take some time and look at what you did this past year. Think about how you might do it better in the new year. If something is working, is there a minor tweak that would make it significantly better? If you tried something before and it didn’t work is there a new way to accomplish that same outcome, assuming it’s still an appropriate outcome? Is there someone you could reach out to and get some help or guidance from?
Here is another question for you. Do you need to DO something new or do you need to BE someone new? As Albert Einstein said, “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” What thinking is holding you back? What changes do you need to make in your thinking to move you forward?
What am I doing to change my thinking, you might ask. Tomorrow I’ll be doing a discernment process called a Clarity Dive with a very small group of individuals. I will also be participating in the process. Discernment is a 12 step process that will take you to a new question and new answers.
Are you ready to be a new you in the New Year?
Have a wonderful day and I’ll be back next week.
