Warren Buffet says the most important investment you can make is in yourself.  If you’re a leader there is another very important investment that you need to make.  That investment is in your employees.

Your business is either growing or it’s not, and one of the best ways for your business to grow is from the new ideas of your employees. These ideas can be as radical as a whole new product to something as simple as how to increase sales to existing clients.  Which any sales or marketing expert will tell you is one of the easiest ways to grow your business.

Grow your employees by exposing them to new thoughts and ideas.  Encourage their input all of it, positive and negative.  If it’s positive ask yourselves “How can we improve it?” and if it’s negative ask yourselves “How can we fix it?”  You can’t sit on your laurels; your successes of yesterday are not your success for tomorrow.  To grow your business to day you need to be solving next week’s problem not just tomorrows problems.
