LeadingWhat is the CEO of an organization’s responsibility?  The most important job a CEO does is to set the direction and ensure that the organization is going in the right direction and has what it needs to get there in the most appropriate matter.

Sometimes it’s more important to get there quickly and at other times there are side trips that need to be made.  Sometimes it’s crucial to have a highly trained group of professionals, while at others having a group of folks that can create something out of virtually nothing is most important.

Because if the CEO isn’t guiding the ship and keeping everyone informed as to where they are going, it’s so easy to get off track and go in the direction that looks fun, or where everyone else is going, or might even be a bigger challenge…. BUT it’s not the direction the organization is going.

And when this happens, when lack of clarity begins to slide down from the CEO to the employees, then confusion becomes the organization state of mind and slowly everything begins to slow down.

It’s time to take control of your vision and share where you are going with everyone that is connected with your organization.
