For those of us that have been in Sandy’s path for the last few days, and to those who are suffering in the aftermath, my prayers and blessing to everyone.

I have also heard from those who are dealing with the fears that Sandy brought up. This is the perfect time to look some of those fears in the face. You can also use your fear as a motivator. Whatever you decide to do, don’t let yourself be paralyzed by your fears. I know that when my fears get the best of me and I feel paralyzed and overwhelmed I find that my mind shuts down and I can’t think what I should do. If that is how you feel reach out and call someone sometimes taking that first small step is the most important.

Most of us have heard the saying “an object in motion stays in motion while an object at rest stays at rest.” It’s that tendency to stay at rest that makes it so hard to take that first step and why once the first step has been taken the second step takes so much less energy.

Take the first step no matter how small. If you don’t know what to do, you can take a small step and email me at jlovas@lovasconsulting.com and request my Big List of Ways to Kick Your Fears.
